Sprites [back to Downloads]

Sprites are ripped animations from videogames. Mostly sprites are the objects you see moving in games; often game characters. Sprites can be ripped by using emulators, software to record screen activity (although this isn't always needed), and software that can edit and save the animation. Software I use for recording animations is the free Camstudio, and for editing Jasc Animation Shop 3. Sprites are often saved in .gif format.

The sprites are categorized in different sections for different games. The timing of the gifs isn't always very good, especially with the Donkey Kong ones. Animation smoothness may also depend on computer speed.

Do NOT use my sprites, link to my sprites (indirectly or directly, e.g. by putting one of my sprites in your signature on a forum) without giving me credit. You can give my credit by adding the following line: 'Sprite(s) © Jelle Goosens http://cursors.pocketheaven.com/'. So, if you want one of my sprites in your sig or as an avatar, please give me credit. Why? Because most of the sprites have cost me hours to make, especially the N64 sprites. The ones of Link cost me about 4/5 hours each.
